The tradition of coffee production has been in
the Barbosa Family since the early twentieth
century. Danilo Barbosa’s great-grandfather, Elias
Barbosa, passed it on to his grandfather, Claudio
Barbosa de Paula, and from Claudio, it passed to
his father, Jairo Barbosa de Paula. Now Danilo
works with his sons, Vítor Marcelo and Sergio
Ricardo, to run the fazenda.
The Barbosa family office is located in Carmo do
Paranaíba, within the state of Minas Gerais,
where the team is composed of ten people.
We thank the importer, Orange Brown, for
helping us to secure this lot.
“This coffee is super chocolatey and sweet,
with subtle hints of red fruit to give
dimension to the moderate amount of acidity
in the cup. It will make for a very clean and
sweet espresso component.”
